Jun 11 Park Update - June 2011
Pollarding of a mature, but structurally unsafe, Horse Chestnut tree has recently taken place.  This has improved light levels and sight-lines at the entrance to the Park from Betjeman Lane.

Three young sycamores, along the Leat. have also been pollarded.  As a result the light levels have been greatly improved for some of the owners in the adjacent Pegasus Retirement Homes.

Three plant demonstration areas have now been sown with a mix of 'Cornfield Annuals'.  Later in the summer Corn Flower, Corncockle, Corn Camomile, Corn Marigold and Corn Poppy should be in flower.
